THQ Nordic and Grimlore Games have announced that the highly anticipated sequel to the cult classic Action/RPG Titan Quest II will launch in Early Access in summer 2025. The previously planned release for winter 2024/2025 has been postponed to give the developers more time to polish the game and avoid competition with other major titles in the genre.
The developers relied on feedback from players who took part in a large closed beta, with 92% of respondents rating the game positively. This helped the team adjust balance and improve gameplay ahead of the Early Access launch.
Titan Quest II is set in a world inspired by ancient Greek mythology. Players will encounter mythical creatures such as centaurs, harpies, satyrs, sirens, and griffins. The main antagonist is Nemesis, the goddess of retribution, who has disrupted the course of fate.
Unlike the original, Titan Quest II doesn’t have fixed classes. Players can combine two mastery trees to create unique builds and characters, offering greater customization and strategic options.
The developers have confirmed that Titan Quest II will not include microtransactions. Instead, traditional DLCs featuring new regions, bosses, and masteries will be released after the full launch.
At the Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2025, a new gameplay trailer was revealed, showcasing improved graphics, exciting combat, and atmospheric locations.
