Supermarket Simulator has officially left Early Access and is now available in full release on Steam. The game combines detailed supermarket management with immersive gameplay and light economic simulation.
In Supermarket Simulator, you open and grow your own grocery store: buying stock, arranging shelves, serving customers, expanding the building, designing the layout, and hiring staff. As the store grows, new features unlock—including online deliveries, anti-theft mechanics, and logistics improvements.
The developers are working on co-op multiplayer and console versions for Xbox and PlayStation. More updates and content are also planned.
Over 16 months in Early Access, the game received more than 60,000 reviews on Steam—93% of them positive. Here's what players are saying most often.
Players love the freedom to run and expand their own store, the smooth interface, and the satisfying progression from a tiny shop to a full supermarket. The visual style, staff management, and hands-on stocking are often praised, along with regular updates, mod support, and the relaxing yet engaging gameplay loop.
The most frequent complaint is about performance—FPS drops and stuttering with large crowds are common. Others point to slow income progression, unresponsive staff AI, and overly frequent shoplifters. Some mention bugs, repetitive late-game gameplay, and awkward vehicle logistics.
Despite some technical and balance issues, the overall reception is strongly positive. Players appreciate the attention to detail and depth, and many recommend it as a fun, engaging simulator with great potential for future updates.
